Sure Ark exists to help verified adults connect. Protecting children from abuse and exploitation is a non-negotiable condition of operating this platform. Our published standards are:
-
Adults only — no person under 18 may register, be listed, or be contacted through Sure Ark.
-
No tolerance for CSAE — any content or behaviour that sexualises, exploits, or endangers a minor is banned.
-
Act and report — we remove violating content and accounts promptly and report to the appropriate authorities.
-
Easy reporting — anyone can flag a concern, in-app or by direct contact with our child safety team.
The following are strictly forbidden anywhere on Sure Ark, including profiles, photos, bios, and any contact facilitated through the platform:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including images, video, text, or links
- Grooming, soliciting, or attempting to contact a minor for sexual or exploitative purposes
- Sextortion, blackmail, or coercion involving a minor
- Trafficking or facilitating the sale or exploitation of children
- Creating or using a profile of, or impersonating, a person under 18
- Using another person's identity documents or photos to bypass age verification
- Sexualised depictions of minors, including AI-generated or altered imagery
Sure Ark is intended solely for people aged 18 and above. Every user, male and female, must register their own account, state their date of birth, and pass our KYC verification before their profile is activated or they can access any other profile.
- A valid government-issued ID (National ID, Voter's Card, Driver's Licence, or International Passport), front and back
- A clear, live selfie compared against the ID document
- Review by our admin team, who reject any submission showing the user is under 18 or the documents are not genuine
Beyond age verification, we build safety into how the platform works:
-
Hidden contact details — WhatsApp numbers stay concealed until a verified user completes KYC and pays to unlock that specific profile.
-
Profile review — profile photos and bios are subject to review and can be hidden or removed at any time.
-
Traceable activity — payments, unlock events, and logins are logged to support investigations.
-
Restricted admin access — role-based controls limit who can view sensitive documents and data.
-
Staff awareness — team members who review KYC and reports are briefed on identifying and escalating child safety risks.
If you see a profile, image, message, or behaviour that suggests a minor is involved or a child is at risk, please tell us straight away. You do not need to be a Sure Ark user to make a report.
- In the app: use the Report option on any profile and select "Child safety / underage user"
- By email: contact our child safety team using the details in Section 8
Please include the profile name or link and a short description of what you saw. Do not download, screenshot, or forward suspected CSAM, as this can be an offence. Simply tell us where it is and we will handle it.
Every child safety report is treated as high priority. When we identify a violation or a credible risk, we will:
-
Act immediately — hide or remove the content and suspend the account while we investigate.
-
Preserve evidence — securely retain relevant records for law enforcement, in line with applicable law.
-
Report — notify relevant authorities and child protection bodies, including Nigerian law enforcement and, where applicable, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).
-
Ban permanently — confirmed violators are barred from returning, and their verified identity details are blocked from re-registration.
-
Underage accounts — any account found to belong to a person under 18 is suspended and its data deleted, except where retention is legally required.
Sure Ark complies with applicable child safety laws and regulations, including Nigerian laws protecting children and prohibiting child sexual abuse material and online exploitation, and cooperates with lawful requests from law enforcement and regulators.
We also follow the child safety requirements of the app stores and payment partners that distribute and support our platform. Our practices are reviewed regularly and updated as laws and best practices evolve.
Sure Ark has a designated point of contact for child safety matters, who can be reached by users, regulators, and law enforcement.
